Welcome to the Cat in the Hat Room at Magnolia Kindergarten Center!
I am excited you are here.
A little about me:
I am a wife and a mother. I have two great kids, a son and a daughter. Both are unique and amazing in their own way, as ever child is. My son loves learning and baseball and my daughter loves pretend and reading. I am married to my best friend. He is a fluent member of the Magnolia community. I have lived in Magnolia since the age of 8. I am a graduate of the Magnolia School District. I hold a BSE Degree in Early Childhood Education from SAU. I have taught for the last 15 years, 13 of those years have been in Kindergarten in the Magnolia School District. I love traveling and reading. I adore chocolate and all things Dr. Seuss. I am also currently working on a Master’s Degree in School Counseling.
All are welcome in my room. I use Conscious Dicipline in my room. In my room all have a voice and all are heard. I am always working hard to develop “Good Citizens”. Kindergartens thrive on exploring their world and being allowed to discuss what they are thinking. My classroom is not a quiet place, children are not quiet beings. We are always investigating and learning, which is how a child discovers their world. We play and interact with anyone who walks into our room. My teaching style is driven by their investigations.
